Samantha Miner, PA-C

Samantha Miner, PA, is a graduate of the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program, committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to underserved communities in Alaska. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Montana Technological University and brings over a decade of diverse medical, wilderness, and research experience to her clinical practice at Advanced Dermatology of Alaska.

Before PA school, Samantha worked extensively in urgent care, backcountry rescue, and emergency medical services. Her roles as a first responder and heli-ski guide in Alaska and Japan reflect her calm leadership in high-stakes environments, while her time as a medical assistant in Juneau sharpened her clinical skills. She also commercial fished for salmon in Southeast Alaska, an experience that taught her grit, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the people and pace of life in coastal communities.

Samantha Miner, PA is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and previously held EMT and remote medical certifications. Her passion for evidence-based practice is also rooted in a strong academic foundation. She was an Amgen Scholar at MIT's Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and has published research in the fields of toxicology and colorectal cancer.

Driven by a mission to improve healthcare access in rural Alaska, Samantha blends her scientific acumen, hands-on procedural experience, and deep understanding of Alaskan communities to provide thoughtful, patient-centered dermatologic care at Advanced Dermatology of Alaska.
